A drum lifter gets a drum off the floor; this one stacks it and empties it. The drum is held in a hinged steel band, tightened by the hand wheel on top of the carrier, and a worm-gear hand wheel on the side rotates the clamped drum under control. With 1945 or 2385 mm of lift a full 350 kg drum reaches the second level of pallet racking or the top of a mixing vessel.
How it works
- Hinged clamp band grips the drum body; the top hand wheel tightens it before the drum leaves the floor
- Worm-gear drive on the side tips and rotates the drum for controlled pouring, holding position when the wheel is released
- Mast lifts by hand pump, straddle legs on castors keep the load between the wheels
- No hydraulic power pack, compressed air or battery to maintain
Two mast versions
- 1945 mm lift with a 1270 mm lowered mast, for stores with low doorways and box vans
- 2385 mm lift with a 1490 mm lowered mast, when the drum has to reach a higher rack level
- Both share the 1580 x 1050 mm footprint and 235 kg service weight
Typical work
- Chemical, paint and lubricant stores stacking and decanting 200 litre steel drums
- Pouring from a drum into a mixing vessel above working height
- Sites where an electric drum handler is not permitted or not worth the investment
