A loaded pallet truck on a slope carries a lot of momentum, and holding it back by the tiller is exactly how backs and ankles get hurt. This version adds a foot-operated brake to the standard 2500 kg chassis: the operator presses the pedal to slow the truck down and to keep it standing while the load is picked up or set down.
Brake system
- Foot pedal acts on the drive wheels, within reach without letting go of the tiller
- Controlled descent on ramps, loading bridges and dock levellers
- Holds the truck in place on a gradient during loading and unloading
- Full 2500 kg capacity and the usual overload valve are unchanged
Where a brake is not optional
- Ramps between yard and warehouse, and truck-to-dock bridges
- Sloping courtyards and drive-through buildings
- Passenger and goods lifts, where the truck must stand still while the doors open
Chassis and options
Two wheel packages are available: ø200 mm steering wheels give an 85 mm lowered fork height, ø180 mm wheels give 75 mm. Forks are 1150 or 1220 mm long and the overall fork width can be 520, 550 or 685 mm, so the truck matches EUR, industrial and half pallets. The second figure in every pair of dimensions belongs to the smaller wheel or the longer fork.
