Sling Assemblies

Lifting sling assemblies: grade 80/100 chain slings, polyester webbing and round slings, single- to four-leg configurations.

Lifting slings

The sling is the last link between the crane and the load — and the first thing to choose by the load's surface and shape, not just its weight. Chain slings take sharp edges, heat and abrasion and are assembled from graded components into single- to four-leg configurations. Polyester slingsendless round slings and webbing slings with loops — are light, colour-coded by capacity and gentle on painted, polished and machined surfaces, covering 1 to 20 t.

Slings pair naturally with spreader beams when the load needs multiple controlled pick-up points. Note that lifting slings and load-securing straps are different, non-interchangeable products — for transport securing see truck lashing straps and lashing chains. Contact us with the load details and we will configure the right sling arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

Chain or polyester sling?

Chain wherever edges are sharp, temperatures high or abrasion constant — it shrugs off what destroys textiles. Polyester wherever the load surface matters: it is soft, light and colour-coded, and covers most general lifting up to 20 t at a fraction of the weight.

How does the number of legs affect capacity?

Multi-leg slings distribute the load, but capacity depends on the leg angle — the wider the legs spread, the less each carries. The rating plate states capacities per angle range; the lift is always rated by the actual configuration, not the sum of the legs.

How often must slings be inspected?

Visually before every use, and periodically by a competent person in line with regulations. Damaged slings — cut webbing, exposed core, deformed or cracked chain components — are taken out of service and replaced, never repaired ad hoc.
