Cross Spreader Beams for Big-Bag Sacks

Cross spreader beams for big-bag sacks
Lifting an FIBC by fewer than four loops deforms the bag and strains the fabric — the KNGB cross spreader beam (1000–3000 kg) picks up all four loops on a 900×900 mm cross frame, keeping the bag open, square and stable through the lift. Optional shackles and rotating hooks adapt the pick-up to your loops; the beam is manufactured to NF EN 13155 (FEM 5).
For loads other than big bags, the spreader beam programme covers fixed, adjustable and modular systems; the loops themselves are lifted with hooks, not slings — but for general textile lifting gear see polyester slings. Contact us with the bag weight and loop layout.
Frequently asked questions
Why not lift a big bag with just the crane hook?
Bunching all four loops on one hook squeezes the bag, overloads the loop seams at an angle they were not designed for, and lets the load sway. The cross frame loads each loop vertically — as the FIBC manufacturer intends.
Which capacity should I choose?
The KNGB covers 1000–3000 kg — rate it by the heaviest filled bag you handle. The 900×900 mm frame matches standard FIBC loop spacing; tell us your bag format if it differs.
