Manual strapping tensioners and cutters
The tensioner is the tool that turns strap and buckle into a secured load: it pulls the strap tight around the cargo and holds the tension while the buckle is set. Manual tensioners need no power or air, which keeps them working anywhere — on the dock, in the field, on the truck bed. How much tension is enough?
Enough that the strap bites firmly into the load without damaging it — with polyester straps the material's elasticity then keeps that tension even when the load settles during transport. Edge protectors let you apply higher tension on sensitive cargo.
Why do I need a special cutter for steel strapping?
A tensioned steel band stores real energy — cut with ordinary pliers it whips loose and can injure the operator. Safety cutters like the SCISSOR-45 hold the band while cutting and release the tension in a controlled way.
