Modular Spreader Beams (Traverses)
Modular spreader beam systems
When loads change from lift to lift, a fixed traverse is always the wrong size — modular systems solve that by assembling the right geometry from standard components. H-beam spreaders in fixed and adjustable versions (1000–10 000 kg) pick up four-point loads; aluminium H-spreaders (125–2000 kg) keep the dead weight low for smaller cranes; and the MNG modular beam scales to project dimensions — 6000 to 70 000 kg on spans from 1 to 14 m.
For simpler, repeating loads a fixed or adjustable spreader beam is lighter and cheaper. Contact us with the load, pick-up points and crane data and we will configure the system with the matching slings.
Frequently asked questions
When do I need an H-frame instead of a single beam?
When the load must hang from four points — machines, containers, panels, moulds — a single beam leaves two axes unsupported. The H-frame controls the geometry in both directions and adjustable versions adapt to different footprints.
How big can modular spreader systems go?
The MNG modular beam covers 6 to 70 t on spans from 1 to 14 m, assembled from standard sections — project cargo territory. Every configuration is defined and documented before the lift.
Steel or aluminium spreader components?
Aluminium versions (125–2000 kg) weigh far less — important because the spreader's dead weight subtracts from the crane's available capacity and the riggers carry the parts. Steel covers the heavy end where dead weight matters less.
